PA Auckland The first four months of the current year have indicated continued buoyant trading conditions for Morrison-PIM Holdings Ltd, the company’s chairman, Mr Bernard Macedo, told yesterday’s annual meeting. “Printers and packaging companies throughout the country remain busy with good order books, some of which relate directly to export orders, but most to continuing local demand.” He warned that current factors made it difficult to

forecast through to the end of June next year. However, it was to be hoped that next week’s Budget would provide a clear and practical statement of policy that would enhance commercial stability and enable long and medium- ? range planning to proceed, with confidence. :

“Meantime today I see no real reason to doubt that Morrisons will do as well as last year. We are ahead of the game at the moment, and prospects into next year look reasonably good,” : Mr Macedo said.

The printing supplies group earned a profit of $2,09*1,902 in the 15 months to June 30. Dividend for the period was 35 per cent, paid on capital increased by a one-for-two bonus.

Included in the payout was a 15 per cent second interim.
