Alliance well up in sales
PA Auckland The net profit for Alliance Textiles, Ltd, for the two months to September 30 was 31 per cent up on the same period last year, and sales were up by 38 per cent, said the chairman, Mr W. R. Jackson, at an extraordinary meeting.
Exports for the two months were 75 per cent ahead of last year, and sales for the present financial year were expected to reach $l2O million, excluding those of the Australian subsidiary. Exports could be S3SM, or about 30 per cent of this, he said.
The meeting approved a resolution enabling scrip for the recent two-for-five bonus issue to be sent to shareholders.
