Youth arrested on visit to prison
A youth who failed to appear in the District Court on Monday to face a variety of charges was arrested yesterday when he tried to visit a friend at Addington Prison. Douglas Robert Best, aged 18, was recognised by prison, staff, who called the police. He was taken into police custody and will apEin the District Court y.
A Bench warrant was issued for his arrest .on Monday. It was the third such warrant sought by the police for Best. He is charged with causing the death of Patricia Timothy by carelessly using a car on Blenheim Road, driving while not the holder of a licence, stealing a car valued at $7OO, and burgling the Staveley Street premises of Salon Michelle.
