Name change
The British Trade Association of New Zealand (Inc.), which has been running in this country for 67 years, has changed its name to the British-New Zealand Trade Council (Inc.). The biggest change is in the increased emphasis being placed on New Zealand’s exports of manufactured goods to the United Kingdom rather than the other way around. Steel merger Industry sources in West Germany say that Fried Krupp and Kloeckner-Werke have reached agreement in principle to merge their steel activities, and that CRA, Ltd, the Australian mining group, will take an equal stake. Spokesmen for Krupp, and Kloeckner would not comment on the reported deal.
