Pine to be promoted
PA Wellington New Zealand and Australian timber groups have agreed to start a joint promotion of radiata pine in Australia. A meeting in Rotorua between representatives of the Australian Softwood Producers Council and the New Zealand Timber Industry
Federation received a market research report and agreed to a nine-part promotional programme. The leader of the New Zealand delegation, Mr R. J. Perham, said that the promotion would be an essential part of the agreed intention to keep radiata to the fore in Australia.
