Comment on legal ownership
PA Wellington People could register their vehicles in the name of Winston Churchill if they liked without affecting their motor-vehicle insurance, said the executive director of the New Zealand Insurance Council, Mr Trevor Roberts, yesterday. “Legal ownership is not determined by the registration of the vehicle. As long as a person can establish ownership of a vehicle he or she can claim on any insurance if necessary,” Mr Roberts said.
