A mural depicting the evolution of vertebrates is painted by Mr Billy Vallance in the zoology department at the University of Canterbury. The mural, which is made up of five sections, will be placed in the foyer on the fourth floor of the department. Mr Vallance, who has a degree in art history, has been employed on the project since April, under the Labour Department’s project employment programme.
