No action over pamphlet

PA Auckland The police have decided not to prosecute the Auckland regional organiser of the Nationalist Workers’ Party, Mr Owen Bree, over the contents of 4000 pamphlets seized during a recent raid on his home.

Chief Inspector Darrell Shields, in making the announcement yesterday, said it was unlikely the pamShlets would be returned to le party.

He said that unless the party consented to their destruction, the police would have to apply for a court order authorising them to shred the material.

Mr Bree said he would offer the police a compromise of having the pamphlets returned in exchange for a

guarantee that they would not be distributed in Auckland.
