Ministry of Works and Development, NOTIFICATION OF INVESTIGATION OF THE PROPOSED LOWER RAKAIA IRRIGATION SCHEME PURSUANT to section 200 of the Public Works Act 1981, the Minister of Works and Development hereby gives public notice of the investigation of the proposed Lower Rakala Irrigation Scheme. The area of Investigation Is generally bounded by the Rakala River In the North, the Sea Coast to the East, the Ashburton River to the South and Mitcham Road in the West, but any community scheme is likely to be less than half this area. The investigation Is also considering possible supply works to obtain and deliver water to the proposed scheme area.
