Unionism
Sir, — The Labour Party’s conference clearly shows that the Labour voter was conned at the election. Having a Labour Government govern this country may be one step up from Muldoonism but those in the Labour Government are quickly forgetting who voted them in — former National voters. Many economic freedoms were taken away by National. Some of these have been returned by Labour but one freedom given to the people by National — voluntary unionism — is once again to be taken away from us. Perhaps in 1987 the New Zealand citizen will vote for the only political party offering all our freedoms to choose our own destination without heavy-handed Government interference. That only leaves the New Zealand Party. — Yours,
MURRAY LUDEMANN. September 10, 1984.
