Stammering studied
Stammering is the subject of tonight’s programme from the 8.8.C.’s “Practical World” series, on the radio National programme at 10.10 p.m. Children can be cruel and they frequently are to other
children who have the misfortune to stammer or stutter. Unfortunately adult society is only marginally more sympathetic towards a person who trips through
every sentence as if it were a verbal minefield. The programme looks at the problem of stammering, what may cause it, and how various devices and therapies can help a stammerer to speak normally.
