Air scare
A woman who had never flown a plane before landed a single-engined Piper Aztec safely after her pilot husband collapsed at the controls. Federal Aviation officials said a Fort Lauderdale flight instructor, flew another plane alongside the Aztec to help ground controllers talk Elaine Yadwin of Tamarac, Florida, down to a disused airstrip in the Everglades. Mrs Yadwin and another passenger were unhurt but her husband, ■ Richard, was pronounced dead of a heart attack after a helicopter flew him to a nearby hospital. — Fort Lauderdale.
