Volcano erupts

A skm volcanic eruption in north-east Iceland sent streams of lava over the hills, at first threatening the power station. Onlookers said the long rift opened like a gigantic zipper in ab ut 10 minutes. Geologists gave five hours warning of the eruption, the fourth and largest in the area since 1975.
