Business visas for Indonesia relaxed
NZPA-AAP Jakarta Business people from 28 countries including Australia and New Zealand can now visit Indonesia for two months without obtaining a visa at home, the Indonesian Minister for Tourism, Posts and Telecommunications, Achmad Tahir, has announced. The relaxed regulation by which visitors on business simply obtain a two-month passport stamp on arrival has applied to tourists from 26 of the 28 countries since
April last year. The two additional nations are Ireland and Brunet The others include Australia, New Zealand, the European Economic Community, Indonesia’s five fellow members of the Association of South-East Asian Nations (A.S.E.A.N.), the United States, and Japan. The visa-free business trips, effective from September 1, stem from Indonesia’s drive to expand trade and commercial contacts. ' ' '
