Was Pinky 'bottle pink’?
NZPA-AAP London A Somerset bird breeder, Bob Wilson, believed he had bred the world’s first pink budgerigar. But, the “Daily Express” reported, for three years he had been unable to convince experts that the colour was genuine.
Their: scepticism ’ prevented him from claiming a £lOOO reward offered by a pet food company for the world’s first pink budgie. Then Pinky died. Now Mr Wilson, aged 37, has arranged a post-mortem examination to settle the argument and prove he was a natural pinky.
