Narrow rules win
Canterbury Blue edged out Canterbury Yellow in an Australian rules match at Ouruhia Park last Saturday. Blue scored 14 goals and 17 behinds for a score of 101, while Yellow scored 15 goals and five behinds for its score of 96. The best players for Blue were Andrew Crowe, Brenden Itsemeara, Noel Dunstan, Frank Davies and Chris BilFor Yellow, Greg Stevenson, Cameron Mclntyre, Stu Robbinson, Steve Clarkson and G. Cosford all had good games. Goal scorers were: Blue: Dunstan (5), Davies (4), Itsemeara (4), Bilicka. Yellow: Clarkson (5), Stevenson (4), Mclntyre (3), Robbinson (2), Cosford. The player of the day title was snared between Crowe and Stevenson.
