The South Division Engineer shall be based In Balclutha, and shall be responsible for the general administration of Engineering works In the south Division area. Within the South Division he/she shall be responsible for contract preparation and supervision, the organisation and supervision of works carried out by hourly rates or day labour, the design of isolated and minor works, and the maintenance of such works as the Board assumes respobslbllity for. Experience of construction work and construction supervision and a good understanding of hydraulics and fluviall works is essential, and previous catchment authority experience is desirable. Salary will be in the range $21,986 - $27,487 (Sp. 2Sp. 6 on the Board’s salary scale) plus the $8 per week cost of living allowance.
