Perfect golf shot

A veteran member of the Avondale Golf Club, Aubrey (“Speed”) Dickey, finds that age is no barrier when it comes to holing out tee shots. Mr Dickey scored his fifth hole-in-one in a club competition on Saturday, and all of them have been at Avondale. Aged 74, Mr Dickey has been playing golf for most of those years. His first ace was in 1954, his second in 1958, and he had a' “bumper” year in 1970, playing the perfect shot twice. A No. 5 iron was the club used by Mr Dickey to score his ace on the 150 m fourth hole. Mr Dickey’s wife, Dot, beat him by two months to score a first hole-in-one, but she has failed to repeat that feat in the ensuing 30 years.
