Finalists found

The finalists have been found for “The Press” junior soccer penalty-taking competition. The final shoot-out in both the 8-11 years and the 12-15 years sections will be held at half-time in the Rothmans Soccer league match between Christchurch Brother United and Napier City Rovers at Queen Elizabeth II Park next Sunday. The three finalists in the younger section are John Lane, of Bays United, Steven Thomas, from Halswell United, and Craig Logan, of Rangers. Three other clubs are represented in the 12-15 years final. The players are Gavin Quinney, of Christchurch United, who won the younger section last year, Shaun Craig, of St AlbansShirley, and Peter Kerdemelidas, of Burndale United.
