Presbyterians give $3M
PA Wellington Presbyterian parishes throughout New Zealand have contributed $3,106,642 to the wider work of their church, according to the finance committee convener Mr R. Yates. This showed a rise of 10 per cent on the previous financial year. “It is a great effort considering we have just over 67,000 members,” Mr Yates said. Contributions to the wider work of the church supported many local and overseas programmes, including overseas aid, unemployment schemes, training ministers, and building churches.
