Police find body of missing man
Christchurch detectives found the body of a middleaged man at an address in St Martins yesterday afternoon. Detective Senior-Sergeant Roger Carson said last evening that the police
would not speculate oh how or when the man had died. The police are awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination. Detectives found the body at the address about 3.30 p.m. after neighbours told the police they had not seen the man for some time.
The police called in forensic experts because of “some puzzling circumstances” related to the finding of the body, said Detective Senior-Sergeant Carson. The man’s name will not be released until his relatives have been informed.
