Malaysian P.M. welcomed
PA Wellington The Prime Minister, Mr Lange, yesterday welcomed the Malaysian Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Mahathir Mohamad, and his party at Wellington Airport. Dr Mahathir, accompanied by his wife, the Malaysian Ministers for Foreign Affairs and Education, three Deputy Ministers, senior officiate, and 30 businessmen, will be in New Zealand until Friday. About 50 Malaysian
students waving banners of welcome and support waited outside the airport perimeter fence for the official 20-car convoy to pass. The Minister of Defence, Mr O’Flynn, will meet Dr Mahathir this morning be-' fore the visitors are accorded a general salute and guard of honour at Parliament Buildings. The Prime Ministers and their Cabinet Ministers will then meet.
