Entries open for award
Air New Zealand and Enterprise New Zealand are seeking entries in the annual Air New Zealand enterprise award, which is designed to recognise individuals or companies who have shown entrepreneurial ability. The award is conducted through local chambers of commerce. Mr Geoffrey Bowes, the consultant to • Enterprise New Zealand, says the prize of a return trip for two to any Air New Zealand destination, except Hong Kong, is really only a small part of the award. Past experience shows
that the publicity winners receive measurably enhances their business activity, he says. The 1984 national judges are Mr Christopher Hobart, the chairman of Unilever N.Z., Mrs Caroline Dixon, the president of Gisborne Chamber of Commerce, and Mr Syd McCrone, the finance director of ICI New Zealand, Ltd. The competition closes at the end of September and entry forms are available from any Air New Zealand office or local chamber of commerce. The final will be held at Wellington on October 24.
