Aust, names team
NZPA-AAP Melbourne Australia will play six one-day international matches on the early preseason cricket tour of India. The Australian Cricket Board executive director, David Richards, said yesterday that the team would leave Australia on September 26 and return on October 10. The team is: Kim Hughes (Western Australia, captain), Allan Border (Queensland, vice-captain), Murray Bennett (New South Wales), Tom Hogan (Western Australia), Rodney Hogg (South Australia), Geoff Lawson (New South Wales), John Maguire (Queensland), Wayne Phillips (South Australia), Carl Rackemann (Queensland), Greg Ritchie (Queensland), Steve Smith (New South Wales), Kepler Wessels (Queensland), Graeme Wood (Western Australia), Graham Yallop (Victoria). will be managed Bob Merriman, of Victoria.
