Sultana ! cake
Ingredients: 450 grams sultanas 250 grams butter 3 eggs 250 grams sugar 375 grams flour 1 teaspoon baking powder pinch salt 1 teaspoon vanilla essence Method: -J 1. Cover sultanas with water and bring to boil. Boil for five minutes. 2. Drain the sultanas, then add the butter, chopping it up roughly in the saucepan. Let it melt. 3. Mix together with a
fork the eggs and sugar, then add this to the cake mixture. 4. Add flour, baking, powder, salt and vanilla essence. 5. Bake in a moderate oven for about two hours. Test with a skewer — the cake is cooked when the skewer comes out clean.
