Ancient coffin found

NZPA-AAP Belgrade A wooden tomb that scientists believe is about 3500 years old has been discovered in central Yugoslavia, newspapers have reported. It held a wooden coffin with a well preserved human skeleton, a shroud, and a fur. According to the reports, the find was made by an archaeological team headed by Professor Alojz Benac, near the village of Donji Malovan, in Bosnia-Her-zegovina. The newspapers quoted Professor Benac as saying that the discovery proved his thesis that Kupres was the farthest point reached by nomadic tribes from the Ukraine in their westward migrations.
