Dairy seminar

Local farmer and dairy researchers will address a dairying seminar at Ashburton on Tuesday, July 24, organised by the Mid-Can-terbury Dairy Section of Federated Farmers. The morning session will be devoted to discussion on an Ashburton dairy monitoring exercise, and include talks by two local farmers, Messrs D. McDonald and J. Roadley. Condensed calving, inducing and synchronized mating and the effect of parasites on production will be covered in the afternoon by scientists from Lincoln College and the Ruakura Agricultural Research Centre. The seminar will be held in the Chartwell Reception Centre and start at 10 a.m.
