The official version claims that: 1 Aquino — with security guard De Mesa on his left — walks down service stairs. 2 Galman runs from behind stairs and shoots Aquino in the head. 3 De Mesa reacts with karate chop and knocks Galman to the ground. 4 De Mesa picks up Galman’s gun. 5 Galman is shot by the troops. But eye-witness accounts suggest that: 6 Aquino is shot before he leaves the stairs. De Mesa is right behind him. 7 Galman demonstrates to the soldiers that he is unarmed. 8 Galman is shot by the troops.
