Election profiles begin
A series of profiles of the candidates in next month’s General Election starts today on page 29 with the candidates in the Selwyn electorate.
The series will run during the lead-up to the General Election on July 14. It will cover the 18 electorates in the northern half of the South Island. Candidates in each electorate have been invited to contribute a statement about themselves and the policies for which they stand. Later in the election campaign, “The Press” will feature articles on the key electorates throughout New Zealand. They will examine the personalities and the issues which may sway voters on election day.
