Who wants Paris?
PA Wellington Social Credit has a new line in raffle prizes that reflects its New Zealandfirst policy. The party’s Hutt region organisers are overlooking trips to such “mundane” destinations as Paris or Hong Kong in favour of .. .Eketahuna. A party spokesman, Mr Ken Demicol, said yesterday that the party believed it was the first time such an attractive prize had been offered. The week-end-in-Ek-etahuna prize is worth $l2O and includes a $2O petrol voucher and a map. That is the good news. The bad news — at least for Eketahuna — is that it is only second prize.
