1.2M watch skaters
A special programme featuring the British iceskaters, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, attracted a New Zealand audience of more than 1.2 million people. Some 41.4 per cent of the viewing audience watched the programme, according to a Broadcasting Corporation survey for the week
ending June 8. The next most popular programmes were: “Dick Emery” 39.6 per cent, 6.30 News 39.3 p.c., “Benny Hill in the U.S.A.” 39.1 p.c., “I Like That One: 2” 38.4 p.c., “Billy T. James” 37.7 p.c., “Private Benjamin” 36.6 p.c., “Topper” 35.9 p.c., “Ready To Roll” 35.2 p.c., and “The Wonderful World of Disney” 35 p.c.
