St John appointment
The dual role of general manager and chief ambulance officer of the Christchurch sub-centre of the St John Ambulance Association has been filled by Mr B. W. Chatterton.
Mr Chatterton was previously chief ambulance officer.
The new appointment comes at a time of restruc-
turing. The ambulance service and the sub-centre administration will now be under one control.
The Canterbury-West Coast centre administration will be under the control of another person yet to be appointed.
Mr Chatterton has had 12 years experience in the ambulance service and for al-
most two years was seconded to the National Ambulance Officer Training School as an instructor.
He was appointed chief ambulance officer in Christchurch in 1982. Mr Chatterton is an associate of the New Zealand Institute of Management and a graduate of the Institute of Ambulance Officers.
