New biscuit line from Aulsebrooks
A new line of biscuits has been released under the “Farmbake” label by Aulsebrooks, Ltd. Called “Farmbake Family Treats,” the biscuits are cream-filled and come in four flavours — Tangy Ginger, spicy ginger cookies with a lemon cream centre; Mocha, cinnamon shortcake with coffee and chocolate centre; Old English Toffee, oatmeal cookies with a creamy toffee centre; and wheaten cookies with a peanut butter centre.
The outer wrapper is similar to the Farmbake Cookies. It is a foil lined bag, which is resealable, and has a pull-out plastic
tray to protect the biscuits. There are about 24 biscuits in each pack. The suggested retail price is $1.76.
The biscuits are being released to shops this week. A new 500 g pack of Chelsea white sugar has been released this month by the New Zealand Sugar Company, Ltd. It is packed in a bright polythene pillow pack and is targeted at small households, holidaymakers and pensioners.
The retail price may vary between 47c and 50c for the pack. Nestles are marketing a new type of baking chocolate chip called “Morsels.”
Morsels are uniformly shaped small chocolate pieces with excellent baking qualities. When cooked they hold their shape but soften slightly to a creamy texture. A 200 g bag retails at $1.93.
Woolite Cold Water Wash is another new product this month. It is supposed to safely soak fine washables clean in three minutes without stretching or damaging. It is especially suitable for sweaters, blouses, and lingerie and it can be used for hand-washing and machine washing. A 225 ml container will cost $1.76 and a 500 ml container $3.18.
