Win a diamond competition
People are given the opportunity of winning a ninecarat gold, diamond pendant
valued at $4OO during this and next week in a competition being held in conjunc-
tion with the Jewellers and Watchmakers of New Zealand Conference.
This competition for the public is being held with another window-dressing contest for at least 23 jewellers’ shops which will be displaying stones the weight of which have to be guessed.
Entry forms are available in all shops taking part in the competition.
In the event of more than one correct entry, the winner will be drawn by lot, under police supervision. Entries close on Friday, June 29, at 5 p.m., and the winners will be announced in “The Press” on Saturday, July 7.
FOOTNOTE: Gemstones are weighed in carats; each carat is divided into 100 points, that is 50 points equals half a carat.
