Kaikoura T.C. shows $5000 profit

The Kaikoura Trotting Club has shown a profit of $4983.62 on its operations for the year ended April 30, 1984. The accounts will be presented to members at the annual meeting at Kaikoura on Friday evening. The club shows a race-

meeting profit of $14,645.28. Stakes were $27,100, of which $6300 was supplied by the Racing Authority. Total race-day expenses were $12,184.45. The yearly profit was down $2200 which was mainly due to increases in the New Zealand Trotting

Conference levy, insurance, repairs, and maintenance work on the course. For the first time in the club’s history the combined on and off course turnovers totalled more a $1 million at $1,040,094 — on-course $255,441, off-course $784,653.
