Upset win to Giles

Ken Giles (Richmond B) upset the Canterbury and New Zealand champion, Dave Meredith (Hoon Hay A) in the latest round of premier inter-club billiards.

Meredith was nicely clear at 108-31, but then Giles made a superb break of 127 and he had no trouble staying in front until the finish.

there was also a big break in the reserve A grade. It was an 86 by John Chrisp (Riccarton) and is the highest in the grade for a long time. Results:— Premier A:
