Family Fun to carry N.Z. colours

Family Fun will be among the horses classed as “New Zealand representatives” in the $375,000 World Cup International Pacing Series, which will begin at The Meadowlands, New York, tomorrow. Hastie Luca, with a record of Imin 54, Allan Bell, which has returned Imin 54.25, and Charles Luca, with a time of Imin 55.45, are also' classed as New Zealand contenders.

Family Fun has been unbeaten in four starts since being sold to North American interests. The winner of six races and almost $30,000 when trained at Halswell by Clem Scott for his Pleasant Point breeder, Peter Tapper, Family Fun raced with distinction in strong company. Mr Tapper left on Tuesday for New York to watch the speedy Family ’Fun compete in the series.
