Bran muffins

Ingredients: 1 large cup of flour 1 teaspoon baking powder % teaspoon salt IV2 cups baking bran ¥4 cup sugar 1 egg 1 level teaspoon baking soda 225 grams milk 1 heaped tablespoon golden syrup 1 tablespoon butter Handful of sultanas or raisins Method: 1. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. 2. Add bran and sugar. 3. Beat egg well. 4. Dissolve soda in heated

milk, then add to egg. 5. Warm together the butter and golden syrup, then add to egg mixture. 6. Stir liquid quickly into the dry ingredients until the flour is just dampened. Add sultanas or raisins. 7. Put into cold, greased patty tins. Bake at 218 degrees Celsius for 12-15 minutes.
