Mother's second A Melbourne woman has given birth to her second child conceived by in vitro fertilisation. The baby, a girl, was delivered by caesarean section yesterday at Melbourne’s Queen Victoria Medical Centre. A spokesman for the centre’s I.V.F. team said both mother and baby were doing well.—Melbourne. Reagans at palace Mrs Nancy Reagan described a dinner yesterday at Buckingham Palace as “very relaxed,” with President Reagan and Britain’s Queen Mother reciting the poetry of a Canadian poet, Robert Service. Mrs Reagan, who sat between Prince Philip and Prince Charles, said Prince Charles talked at length about his baby son, Prince William. “I think he likes him and is going to keep him,” she said with a laugh. Mrs Reagan also said that when she visited William last week, she found that “he talks all the time, and he loves helicopters.”—Washington. Blast kills six An explosion and fire in a gas pipeline killed six people and injured 41 near Villahermosa, in southern Mexico on Sunday, state oil company officials said yesterday. Ten of the injured had been flown to hospital in Mexico City with serious bums.—Villahermosa. Pub shooting Two masked men shot and killed a man in a pub in a Catholic section of Belfast and slightly wounded two other customers. The Irish Republic Army later said that it was responsible for the Falls Road "execution” alleging that the murder victim had been engaged in organised crime. The police said that the dead man had no connection with the security forces. — Belfast.
