Youth in fatal cliff fall
PA Wellington A Mount Roskill youth fell to his death from the face of a 100 m cliff at Willow Flat Forest, near Wairoa, yesterday. He was Timothy Donovan, aged 18. He was climbing with two companions. The three were forestry workers staying at the Willow Flat Forestry Camp. “Apparently they set out on the climb for something to do on a Sunday morning." a police spokesman said. The cliff, near the Mohaka River, is of clay and rock. The police recovered the body with the help of forestry workers yesterday afternoon.
