Fires at two houses
Fire caused moderate damage to the bedroom of a house in Spreydon last evening. The fire, in a singlestorey wooden house in Bletsloe Avenue, started about 9.30 p.m.
Two engines were called to the blaze. There were no suspicious circumstances. The kitchen of a brick house in Santarosa Avenue, Halswell, was also moderately damaged by fire last evening.
