AW BANK RESEARCH ECONOMIST Applications are Invited from suitably qualified and experienced people for the mangement position of Research Economist In the Bank's Economics Department. PRINCIPAL DUTIES: • The day to day control and management of the Bank's Economic department. • Surveillance of economic and monetary conditions nationally and internationally. ® Supervise the preparation of data and reports for briefing, planning and strategy purposes. ® Liaise with other departments of the Bank. • The position reports to the Economist and deputises In that position when required. REQUIREMENTS: • The ability to evaluate monetary and economic conditions and promulgate sound proposals. • Previous economic research experience, preferably in the flnance/monetary system. 9 A formal qualification In Economics supported by mathematics and statistics. • Experience In staff supervision and management. ® Good verbal and written communications skills. ® Preferred age range 28-35.
