Telefunken profit
AEG-Telefunken, West Germany’s ailing electrical concern, made a profit in 1983 for the first time in 15 years, a result which exceeded even its own most optimistic forecasts. Its chairman, Mr Heinz Duerr, said that AEG was on the road to recovery, but "we have no reason to rejoice. We must now put the company back on a normal footing.”
