Launching held at museum
The Canterbury Museum's Pacific Hall proved a suitable venue for launching a book, by a Christchurch author, last evening.
The book, “Ihaka and the Prophecy," was written byJoanna Orwin, and is a sequel to one published last year, "Ihaka and the Summer Wandering." It tells the adventures of a Maori lad living in the Nelson region about 900 years ago.
The wholesale branch manager of Whitcoulls in Christchurch, Mr Peter Wylie, said yesterday that Pacific Hall was chosen as the venue for the launching to “give a bit of atmosphere.”
