The Manager/Training will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the training and development needs of Government Life and for defining, recommending and implementing the policies and training programmes necessary to meet these needs. This is an important managerial position within Government Life and the successful applicant would be expected to have had significant experience in contributing towards policy making processes and developing training programmes. Reporting to the Manager/Training will be two Senior Training Officers. Both will have responsibilities for the development and implementation of new and existing training programmes. One in respect of training programmes for our sales and marketing force and the other in respect of training programmes for office staff. In the former position, previous experience of life insurance selling and/or experience of sales skills training is essential, while in the latter position, general training experience would be relevant.
