Riccarton Knitwit News DEAR KNITWITS, This week lan and I will be joining all the other Knitwit store owners throughout NZ for our annual conference in the Marlborough Sounds. I know a lot of new ideas will come forward from, this conference and we will advise you all In due course of ‘what’s new’ on the Knitwit Scene. Black and White is always so popular. Recently we received two fabulous cloths in a black and white tweedy look. One Is very fine, suitable for skivvies ano this also has a matching rib trim. This is 150 cm wide and is $19.99 a metre. The other cloth has a chunkier look and will make fabulous dresses, tops or skirts. This is a high fashion cloth, and it also has matching rib trim. At $21.99 a metre it makes idea! buying. We still have a superb range of sweat shirting in plains, stripes and checks. All colours have been co-ordinated to mix and match and our fabrics all have their matching rib trims. Now that these colder days are here, why not make the most of the children being home this week and make for them a comfortable warm leisure suit. Classes: During the next 2- 3 months, we will be running most of our Special Classes from time to time. Please don’t be disappointed, so book early. Our first Special Class is our leotard lesson. This is to be held on Friday. May 25 at 9.15 a.m. This is a three hour lesson and costs $12.00. This includes your manual. Knack of the Notions: This is a fun two hour lesson fo $5. We will show you how to get full use out of your cutting board, make your own belts and bias binding, cover your buttons and apply ginger snaps. These are some of the things you will learn in this lesson. If will be held on Tuesday, June 12 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Remember our next series of our Basic 8 lessons commence on Wednesday, June 6 at 9.30 a.m. and 7.30 p.m. Treat yourself and come along and learn the exciting Knitwit techniques from us.
