Mr Knox re-etected

in Wellington The president of the Federation of Labour, Mr W. J. Knox, has been re-elected unopposed for another fiveyear term.
The re-election of the secretary-treasurer of the federation Mr K. G. Douglas, for another four-year term, also was unopposed.
The present four-man national executive was reelected in a ballot of seven names.
The four are: Messrs G. H. Andersen (Northern Drivers’ Union), 501 votes; W. R. Cameron (Canterbury Meat Workers’ Union), 421; R. J. Campbell (New Zea-
land Shop Employees’ Association), 421; A. Russ (New Zealand Carpenters’ Union), 419.
The three unsuccessful candidates were: Messrs G. Watts (New Zealand Workers’ Union), 217 votes; P. J. Kelly (Wellington Cleaners’ and Caretakers’ Union), 105; R. C. Cowley (New Zealand Engineers’ Union), 100.
Three women were elected to the women’s advisory committee: Ms R. Hamid (Nelson Timber Workers’ Union). Ms S. Kelly (New Zealand Workers Union) and Ms T. O’Connell (New Zealand Clerical Workers’ Association).
