Beirut death toll At least seven people were reported killed and 37 wounded in the heaviest artillery exchanges for three weeks between Christian and Muslim factions in Beirut at the week-end. The Druse Muslim "Voice of the Mountain” Radio said seven people had been killed and 22 injured in Muslim-held areas. National television put the casualty toll as high as 10 dead and 75 injured.— Beirut. Holidaymakers die Eight British holiday makers, including a girl, aged seven, and a Spanish courier died at the weekend when their coach crashed off a narrow road and into a ravine on the island of Majorca. Thirtyfour other holidaymakers, including a girl, aged two, the coach driver' and a British courier were injured, said a spokesman for the tour company, Horizon.—London. Paris explosions An anonymous caller has claimed that a group he named as the "AntiArmenian Organisation” had carried out last week’s series of bomb attacks near Paris. The explosions injured 13 people and destroyed a newly installed monument to the TurkishArmenian dead that had been opposed by Turkey.— The Hague.
