Hornby falls from grace

On a day of generally low scores in “The Press” Centennial Cup competition for the best and fairest senior rugby team, Hornby plummeted with a record low mark of two points. The team failed to register a point in the sportsmanship phase after its captain, Gordon Gossett, was first sent to the sin bin and then ordered off in the match against Belfast. Albion also fared poorly, gaining only seven out of a possible 20 points. Sydenham, Marist and Burnside were the day’s best scorers, with 17 points apiece, and Suburbs, with 16, main-
