Drivers Licences which expire 30TH JUNE 1984 May be renewed now at The Christchurch City Council Ground Floor CIVIC OFFICES -TUAM ST MON - FRI B*3o AM -4-30 PM Drivers over 50 Eyesight tests are required every five years from first renewal following 50th birthday. Facilities will be available at each of the temporary offices, as well as at the Civic Offices to conduct this test as required by Section 9A of the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964, or a certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner or Optometrist may be presented with the licence for renewal. Drivers over 70 If aged 70, 71 or 73 by 30 June 1984, NO PRACTICAL TEST IS REQUIRED. Only a medical certificate and renewal fee of $2.50 is required. Renewal is for a maximum of 1 year, and may be renewed by post. If aged 72 and 74 years or over by 30 June 1984, A PRACTICAL TEST IS REQUIRED as well as a medical certificate and the renewal fee of $2.50. Appointments for the Practical Test may be made by telephone 799-980 ext. 813 or 814. Postal Renewal The following to be forwarded with drivers licence: 1 Correct fee. 2 Stamped self addressed envelope for return of licence. 3 Eyesight certificate if over 50. 4 Medical certificate if over 70 and no practical test required.
